ERPM, WSPR, Digital News Day

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

Are you heading to ERPM in Atlanta or WSPR in Las Vegas? Meet some of the star members of the PI team — Joe Orlando, Phil Johnson, Ki-Min Sung and Keith Hopper.

Both conferences are jam-packed with valuable sessions on diversity, growing the audience, increasing donations, and the landscape of Public Media in the future.

And, at both ERPM and WSPR, stations can participate in Digital News Day, and learn about best practices in digital news delivery. The Knight Digital Media Center partnered with NPR for several strategies and skills training sessions over the past year, and recently hosted a “Future of Local news and Public Media” summit for management teams of stations participating in the PI Core Pilot project. We have adapted the agenda to offer a one-day summit following both conferences.

PI’s own Keith Hopper and Ki-Min Sung will lead sessions on extending this new model to general news, see details here: http://core.publicinteractive.com/2010/10/digital-news-day-at-erpm/
