New Options for Quick Pledge Email Receipt

We have added more options to edit and customize your automated email receipt that is sent to the donor after they complete a Quick Pledge transaction.

Email subject line
You can now customize the default subject line of “Thank you for your contribution” for the email receipt for each of your forms.

To edit the email subject line:
• In your Quick Pledge administrative tools, go to Manage Pledge Forms.
• Click to Edit the form you want to modify.
• Then click the ‘Email Receipt’ link and you’ll see an editable text field for the email subject line where you can edit the copy.

Turn off the email receipt:
Quick Pledge that allows you to turn off the automated email receipt that is sent to the donor. This feature was requested by several Quick Pledge stations that use the back office form to enter phone donations, and don’t want to send an email receipt for these transactions.

While in general we recommend leaving the automated email receipt turned on for most of your web pledge forms, the back office form can be different.

To turn off the automated email receipt:

  • In your Quick Pledge administrative tools, go to Manage Pledge Forms.
  • Click to Edit your back office form.
  • Then click the ‘Email Receipt’ link and you’ll see a Yes/No radio button asking whether you want to send out a receipt for this particular pledge form. Choose accordingly.
  • Note: This is a per form setting, so you can turn the receipt option off for one pledge form and leave it turned on for others.  We recommend keeping the automated email receipt turned on for your web pledge forms, so donors receive an immediate message letting them know that their online donation was received successfully.

Edit Station Name
The email receipt the donor receives shows “Station: wxyz”. The station name is matches your Quick Pledge directory name, which in most cases is your station’s call letters. However, in certain cases you might want this to read differently. We can now modify that setting for you, per form. If you’d like this changed, send your request via http://www.publicinteractive.com/support.html:

  • Include the exact text of spelling of the station name you’d like.
  • The name(s) of the form you’d like to changed for.
  • E.g., instead of “Station: VPR” that can read “Station: Vermont Public Radio”.
